We are seeking a skilled and motivated Linux and Kubernetes Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Observability and Monitoring Stack as well as the Cloud Environment, with a strong focus on Linux systems and Kubernetes orchestration. Key responsibilities include developing new automation for state-of-the-art alerting systems, and performing setup, maintenance, hardening, and troubleshooting of cloud-based infrastructure. You will work as part of an Agile team, collaborating with multinational project teams worldwide on cloud migration initiatives and leveraging the latest tools and innovative solutions. You will also contribute to the digitalization efforts of the Lufthansa Group.

Who are you?

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with cloud technologies and Linux systems,
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform,
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet,
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or ArgoCD,
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, and Shell scripting,
  • Proficiency with monitoring and visualization tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana,
  • Experience with log aggregation and analysis using Elastic Stack (ELK),
  • Experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL,
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Redis,
  • Understanding of database monitoring tools such as pg_stat_statements and Percona Monitoring and Management (PMM),
  • Understanding of data flow and inter-system communication
  • Knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/S, DNS, TLS, gRPC
  • Experience with network analysis tools: Wireshark, tcpdump, netcat, iperf, nmap,
  • Familiarity with load balancers and proxies such as HAProxy, NGINX, and Envoy
  • Strong creativity, sense of responsibility, and ability to work in a collaborative environment,
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written,
  • Readiness to work in a hybrid model - 2 days in the office in Gdańsk.

What do we welcome?

  • Experience with Azure Monitor and Google Cloud Operations Suite,
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize,
  • Knowledge of messaging and streaming platforms: Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ,
  • Proficiency with version control systems: Git, Azure DevOps Git, GitHub,
  • Experience working in an ITIL-oriented environment.
