About Digital Hangar
Digital Hangar (DH) is an innovation part of Lufthansa Group that aims to upgrade the Lufthansa Group to new digital business models, original product ideas and digital technologies for a digital future.
As DH we do not aim in never-ending project coding, but in delivering working solutions that respond to Lufthansa Group needs. For that reason, updating our applications on production few times a week in a DevOps spirit is not an exception, it is daily work. Using the newest technologies and services like Storage Services, Kubernetes Services - it is not a WOW, it is a fact.
Also, as Hangar, we must research new technologies and solutions from the IT market which will also be your responsibility.

Why do we need you?
As a Senior Java Developer, you will lead the design and development of cloud-native applications using the latest tech stack. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our products, from concept to deployment and beyond, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, and reliability.
Tech stack we use:
Java 21+, Spring ecosystem, Spock and Testcontainers, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Storage/NoSql services, Azure Saas/PaaS, MS SQL, RabbitMQ, Kafka
Who are you?
We are looking for people with
- At least 4 years’ experience on a similar position,
- Experience in microservice approach,
- Experience with working with distributed message broker and distributed event streaming platform,
- Experience in working in DevOps and CI/CD,
- Knowledge of RESTful services,
- Practical knowledge of design patterns and good practices of coding,
- Expertise in software quality assurance,
- Excellent knowledge of Polish & English language,
- Readiness to work in a hybrid model - 2 days in the office in Gdańsk.

- Ability to take full ownership of a product’s lifecycle, from development to production, ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence,
- Excellent team collaboration skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders,
- Confidently propose new ideas and improvements, backed by data and research,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
